Implementation

Deploying district-wide software can be a complex undertaking. With the collective aim of helping students achieve, Spectrum K12 and our partner districts work closely from initial planning to implementation, through deployment and beyond. The Spectrum K12 services team employ’s its own “Exceed Pathway” project method: a highly collaborative, iterative, rapid deployment approach that ensures quality and timely success in deploying the EXCEED® product suite.

IT Readiness and Set Up – Client Hosted

Spectrum K12 provides IT consulting services to provide the district with recommendations for 3rd-party server hardware and software (if the system will be district-hosted), and network connectivity audits for all clients, in both district-hosted and application service provider (ASP) environments. The Spectrum K12 IT staff can also provide recommendations on data security and disaster recovery planning, if needed.

EXCEED and District Data Systems Integration

Setting up a data file exchange between EXCEED other district student data technologies like student information systems (SIS), grade books, discipline systems and state and district level assessment scores can save teachers and administrators hundreds of hours in completing forms and producing reports throughout the school year while also ensuring district staff made decisions based on accurate, real-time data. Spectrum K12 interface developers work closely with district IT staff to set up an automated exchange where student data is loaded into EXCEED either one time or on a periodic basis (e.g. nightly for SIS data) keeping district data systems perfectly in sync.

State and Custom Reporting

Spectrum K12 will develop reports to extract all of the reporting data elements required for various district and state reporting cycles. In addition, Spectrum K12 can create custom reports to meet additional district reporting needs.
