IT Readiness and Set Up – Client Hosted
Spectrum K12 provides IT consulting services provide the district with recommendations for 3rd-party server hardware and software (if the system will be district-hosted), and network connectivity audits for all clients, in both district-hosted and application service provider (ASP) environments. The Spectrum K12 IT staff can also provide recommendations on data security and disaster recovery planning, if needed.
Encore System Data Readiness
Encore system configuration readiness, including loading district schools and users into the application, is a service provided to every client. Spectrum K12 can also, at the district’s option, pre-load one or more banks of goals and objectives to be used in the development of standards-aligned IEPs.
An initial data load of all students (and their most recent IEP data, if legacy data conversion services are desired) into Encore before live processing begins ensures that the system is accurate and compliant from the start. From that point in time, the unmatched compliance checking that is built into Encore keeps the system reliable and allows district staff to make decisions based on accurate, real-time data.
Encore Systems Integration
Setting up a data file exchange between Encore and the district student information system (SIS) can save teachers and administrators hundreds of hours in completing special education forms and producing reports throughout the school year. Spectrum K12 interface developers work with district IT staff to set up an automated exchange where student demographic data is loaded nightly into Encore, and special education data is returned nightly to the SIS, keeping both systems perfectly in sync.
State and Custom Reporting
Spectrum K12 will develop reports to extract all of the special education reporting data elements required for various state reporting cycles (child count, exit count, etc). In addition, Spectrum K12 can create custom reports to meet additional district reporting needs.
