In addition to managing a district’s special education program, Encore also has modules to manage special populations including:
Our latest version of Encore also offers a Custom Process Builder, allowing districts to create their own unique configurations for custom modules.
Although management of these special populations tends to be less intensive than special education, it still requires administration, caseload management and paperwork. With complete management of these special populations, districts can help avoid over-referring students to special education.
Each of the Encore Special Population modules are:
Encore Intervention
Encore Intervention provides electronic management and progress tracking for at-risk general education students. These are students who are receiving interventions based on test scores or other district assessments that indicate the need for additional academic or behavioral supports. Encore Intervention allows teachers and/or Student Support Teams to record student background information, screenings and assessments, results of team meetings, and next steps. It includes multiple reports, such as intervention history by student and effectiveness of interventions. The information recorded in the Encore Intervention module is available to special education teachers if the student is eventually referred to special education.

Encore 504
Encore 504 tracks students with 504 plans. Student progress can be monitored, and next steps recorded to ensure that the plan is appropriate and helping each individual student to achieve his or her academic goals. For 504 students who ultimately require special education referral and services, a complete record of concerns, strategies and student history is available in Encore Special Education to help ensure the student IEP builds on successful strategies and does not repeat past ineffective efforts.
Encore LEP
Encore LEP provides electronic management and progress tracking for students in English language learning (ELL) or English as a Second Language (ESL) programs. Encore LEP lets teachers and/or program managers record student background information, screenings and assessments, results of team meetings and next steps, and effectiveness of the language program(s). This information is available to special education teachers in the event the student is also referred to special education.
