Encore IEP Service Assurance

Encore IEP Service Assurance creates a unique audit-defensible mechanism to reconcile services provided against prescribed services by documenting all pertinent services provided to a student based on the prescription in the IEP. Service providers can check student IEP-prescribed services and quickly and easily complete electronic service tickets for each service encounter with a student.

Much of the data is pre-filled on the service tickets eliminating redundant entry. The ticket automatically captures the provider’s identity, as well as capturing the date of the encounter, the procedure code, the category of service, the start time of the service, the duration of the service (in minutes or hours), and a response code. There is also room for clinical notes, which are required in some states for billing and auditing purposes. A sample ticket is shown below:

Provider service tickets track every encounter

Service ticket information can be added, deleted, and/or modified by the provider until the ticket and its encounters are electronically exported for billing. At that point, no more changes are allowed. Encore IEP Service Assurance archives all completed service tickets for as long as the district desires.

Encore IEP Service Assurance, when used in tandem with Encore Special Education, can compare prescribed versus reported services to measure productivity and service discrepancies.  It also creates an electronic, defensible audit trail for all the Medicaid eligible services the district provides.  A set of standard reports designed to enhance services management through identification and monitoring of over- and under-reporting of services is also included in Encore IEP Service Assurance.
